The APACVS is always looking for volunteers for its committees. A variety of service opportunities exist for APACVS members to use their diverse skills, experience and knowledge. Whether your interest is in writing, planning, education, strategic planning or fundraising, we will help you find a fulfilling volunteer position. Contact the Chairperson of the committee you are interested in knowing more about or want to join.

Board of Directors
Responsible for goal-setting, planning, policy development, resource development, corporate oversight, evaluation and decision-making for APACVS on behalf of the membership.
Communications Committee
Oversees and provides support for the quarterly production of the CardioVISION Newsletter, as well as gathers and disseminates other news and information pertinent to the profession of CVPAs.
Continuing Medical Education
Responsible for developing the meeting agenda for two educational meetings per year to keep the membership aware of current modes of diagnosis and patient management. Conference chairpersons for the Summer and Winter meetings are selected from within this committee.
Corporate Relations
In collaboration with the APACVS management firm liaison, this committee will work to develop new, and strengthen current, relationships with companies who may provide products and services to members of APACVS.
Elections Committee
Responsible for recruiting eligible candidates for the annual election.
Fellow Member Oversight Committee
Fellow status is an honor conferred by the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery (FAPACVS) on individuals who apply and are selected for this recognition. The committee, made up of CVPAs and cardiovascular surgeons review applications on a monthly basis.
Finance Committee
Advises the Treasurer and the Board of Directors in financial matters, monitor the association's financial procedures, assist in planning the annual budget, provide direct assistance to the Treasurer in financial management functions as needed and to propose alternative revenue streams as requested by the Board.
Membership Committee
Responsible for recruitment and retention of members, submitting membershp reports, and making policy recommendations to the BoD as necessary.
Think Tank
The charge of the Think Tank is to be forward thinking and to provide visionary support to the APACVS Board of Directors that would best benefit the membership and the profession.
